AA College Rosette Luncheon, Origins Restaurant

Great lunch at Origins Restaurant at Shrewsbury College, I was invited by Dan Gibbons to join a table for 5 people, AA inspector, People 1st, Catering head and Deputy head of the College. The aim was to see/judge what was needed to award the Origins restaurand a AA college rosette acreditation, this is an AA sheme started 18 month ago, and is very popular Scheme for catering colleges throughout the UK. Lunch was fabulous executed for me it was pigeon cooked rare with leek puree, belly of pork and pork cheek, and milk pannacotta with earl grey tea sorbet. food discussions at the table  were all praises. My opinion, these guys deserve an award for sure, passion and pride shone trough the combinatios of flavours, the presentation and service. This will be a new beginning for Shrewsbury and Shropshire having a AA Rosette Awarded Catering College, this will raise the bar and should make us all proud. Well done Dan and team, good luck.
