Cheese Making with Martin
It all started early today.....getting ready at 4am, crank car up and and leave at 4.30....arriving at Mr Moyden's Handmade cheese 5.10am...setting of to the diary farmer and milking 90 cows. back to the creamery and off-load. Blue cheese was going to be made all day, turning 2000 ltr of the finest Holstein milk into a total of 240lkg Wrekin blue and Iron Bridge blue cheese. All done by Martin, Martin's mother, Erron (Harper Adams student) and myself. It felt easier as this was my second time and all came backto me sharpish. Martin leading us and we were grafting away for a good few hours to get the job done. Cheffing is an interesting kinda job, honestly cheese making is not far behind.
Tomorrow Bennet and Dunn oil, bring samples of new seasonnal natural flavoured rapeseed oil.
